The Diviner blend became popular as a fantastic tool used by Druid priests to drive away negative energies and enhance spiritual and emotional well-being. It is said that the secret combination of these herbs was passed down strictly by word of mouth till the early 18th century, when the onset of the tobacco industry and the Church destroyed many herbalists by branding their art as “witch craft”.
It was only very recently that another herbalist came up with the idea of recreating this lost “Divine Blend” – with almost all of the herbs used originally – when she came across an old manuscript from Scotland containing precious information about Scottish herbs.
Using African and Tibetan meditative herbal manuals and modern biochemical research on the effects of herbs, she combined the original Scottish herbs with magico-spiritual plants used in the ancient Ifa religion of West Africa, Tibet, India and Nepal and recreated the ancient Scottish Divine Blend, now reinforced with the sacred blue and white lotus of the Himalayas.
The blend is offered as a wonderful pipe smoke blend that can be used as an incense. The most effective way to use these herbs is to have a warm cup of tea – and relax with a pipe or cigarette made from the blend!
Mugwort is a main ingredient in Druid Mood Blend (it’s the basis of the blend and the addition of other herbs is intended to amplify its effects). With an ancient herbal tradition and a diversity of indigenous herbs, Scotland is among the world’s best places that can offer us viable and very effective formulae for the practice of creating herbal smoking blends.
This blend was created originally to solicit the favor of Tatha, an ancient goddess of Scotland. On her shore, an ancient Druid prophet whose name is lost in antiquity was divinely presented the original blends. The “divine blends” were sold in bags and pouches all over Scotland to be smoked in a pipe.
