Eleuthero Root Powder (Siberian Ginseng)

The roots of this Asian shrub, distantly related to Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng), are one of the foremost adaptogens, and have been in use for over 2,000 years. Eleuthero root may help to promote the body’s ability to manage stress while increasing endurance.* Extensive clinical studies have shown that Eleuthero root may also enhance mental acuity, without the letdown that comes with caffeinated products.*

Until recently, most of the scientific research on Eleuthero root was conducted in Russia. This research has largely focused on its use to help maintain overall health and generally strengthen the system rather than to treat particular disorders. In a 4-week study, an extract of Eleuthero root was shown to help support healthy immune system function. Laboratory studies have also shown that the use of Eleuthero root supports the immune system.*

The support of healthy memory and concentration was shown in a 3-month study of middle-aged volunteers taking Eleuthero root compared to placebo.* Another study found that quality of life scores of elderly subjects, including social and mental aspects, were supported by taking Eleuthero root for 28 days.*

Physical performance
