Essential Oil – Bay

$6.49

OUT OF STOCK
A dark yellow mobile liquid with a fresh-spicy top note and a sweet balsamic undertone. It blends well with lavender, rosemary, geranium, ylang-ylang, citrus and spice oils.
The scent of bay oil is considered by many to be a particularly masculine aroma on its own, but it is generally blended with other pure essential oils to create a synergy. Its scent, while not reminiscent of the commonly used “bayberry” fragrance, is still employed in many men’s colognes.
These oils are sold for aromatherapy purposes only.

Blends well with: Pine, Cypress, Juniper, and Lavender. Frankincense and Clary Sage would be good partners in a spiritual/meditative blend. Combine it with Rosemary for a high-powered study blend. Citrus oils and other spices are also very nice. Please use in moderation, since it can easily overpower other aromas and can make you feel drowsy.

History: Bay Laurels were once used to crown Greek scholars, which is the historic background of the academic “baccalaureate” title. It was also used to adorn the victors in ancient Greece and Rome. The priestesses at Delphi sat over the burning fumes to increase their prophetic visions. Commonly used as a food flavoring for stews, pickles, and sauces.
