History: Eucalyptus has long been used by Australian Aborigines as a traditional medicine. Introduced to Europe in 1788, Eucalyptus was colloquially called “Sydney Peppermint” and was being used as an antiseptic during surgery by the 1880s. Being a very thirsty tree, Eucalyptus has also been used to fight malaria in swampy regions; the trees are planted and will drink up much of the surrounding water, thereby depriving mosquitos of their necessary breeding environment.
Perfect for use with our Ceramic Oil Burners as well. These oils are sold for aromatherapy purposes only.
