Avid Morning Glory (Ipomea) fans are typically familiar with this
variety of Morning Glory known as the “Heavenly Blue” strain.  These
organic, untreated seeds provide a fast-growing climber that is
extremely easy to take care of and a colorful addition to any Shaman’s
Garden.  In fact, it’s reported that many generations of Aztecs and
natives in Mexico (Oaxaca region) believe that a deity lives within the
seeds and they may have held Morning Glory quite sacred,but now the
beautiful flowers are a constant reminder of the historical significance
of these gorgeous plants.

Today, the “Heavenly Blues” Ipomoea tricolor variety of Morning Glory
seeds are the most widely sought of the Morning Glory, and stunningly
beautiful flowers typically bloom during the first year as they amaze
you at the speed in which they can climb. These untreated morning glory
seeds (spraying with chemicals can not only weaken the strain, but it
can greatly reduce germination rates as well) are organically grown and
harvested.

These viable seeds are not for human or animal consumption.  They are sold for cultivation purposes only.

Morning Glories have a rich historical tradition. The Aztecs believed that Morning Glory seeds were connected with the Sun Gods, and the Chontal and Mazatecs of Oaxaca believe that the plant carries strong spiritual energy, and is inhabited by a very powerful spirit, which connects humans with the realms of the gods.

Spraying these seeds with chemicals weakens the strain, greatly reduces germination rates and, (if you feel that these plants are sacred, as we do), is quite disrespectful to the plant as well! Cultivation Instructions: The species is a perennial, but is usually cultivated as an annual in North America, as the plants do not tolerate cold. Soak the seeds for several hours before sowing. Plant them 1/4” 1/2” deep, no further than 6” apart. They require full sunlight and plenty of water. Constantly damp roots produce few flowers, though, so be careful not to over water!
