We have incense sticks made by hand by Tibetan Monks, Indian Yogis, American Indians, and more; all of which is  made only from essential oils and real plant resins. We don’t carry any “bulk” incense that has that inevitable “punk” smell, and have incense from all over the world, including Japan, India, Tibet, and the United States.
 
Actually, the burning of incense is a universal phenomena, spanning virtually all cultures.  It has been used both ritualistically, and as a simple enhancement to the pleasantness of any space, indoor or outdoor.  The American Indians used sage bundles for smudging, Tibetan Monks use incense in their temples, it’s a craft that has been perfected by the Japanese, and the top selling incense in the world is from an Indian Guru named Sai Baba.
 
When choosing incense, remember these basic differences and types:
 
1. Stick incense contains a wooden core, with incense attached to the stick.  These are the most popular and widely known forms of incense, but they also burn, in addition to the incense, sticks of wood, often giving the incense and added woody or “punk” scent to them.
 
2. Japanese incense is known for it’s super clean burning, and no wooden core, even though the incense is in the form of very thin sticks.  They don’t burn as long as traditional sticks, but they burn exceptionally clean, and provide an extremely delicate scent.
 
3. Tibetan incense is about the same size as stick incense, but is formed without a wooden core.  Tibetan incense is made to fill an entire temple, and always follows a traditional recipe, which is always earthy in scent.
 
Incense can be powerful in so many ways, simply because of the atmosphere it automatically creates in whatever space it’s burned in.  It’s primal; fire and scent ignite the senses in ways that touch the very essence of who we are.  And few things are as versatile as incense is; we burn our favorites here at the shop every day to help us all enjoy our days just a little bit more.  We adore Nag Champa “Super Hit” from India, Scents of Blossom – Aqua from Japan, and our top selling Tibetan incense called Pancha Buddha; a free trade product made by hand to help in the fight to free Tibet.  Also, whenever we need to clear some energy in the shop, we always reach for the California Sage that has an intoxicating scent that we could never tire of.  Yes, incense is one of the original and most powerful psychoactive tools known to humans.

Tenemos palillos de incienso hechos a mano por Monjes Tibetanos, Yogis de la India, Indios Norteamericanos y más; todos han sido elaborados de aceites esenciales y de resinas de plantas reales únicamente. No ofrecemos ningun incienso “en volumen”, el cual tiene inevitablemente un aroma muy malo. Tenemos incienso de todo el mundo, incluyendo Japón, India, Tibet y los Estados Unidos.
De hecho, la quema de incienso es un fenómeno universal, presente en toda cultura. Ha sido utilizado de ambas maneras, de manera ritualística, o simplemente para crear un entorno apropiado, tanto dentro, como fuera o al intemperie. Los Indios Norteamericanos utilizaban un fajo de salvia para pintar o manchar. Los monjes tibetanos utilizan incienso en sus templos, es también un oficio perfeccionado por los Japoneses y claro, el incienso de mayor venta el mundo, proveniente de un Guru de la India llamado Sai Baba.  Al escoger incienso, recuerde estas diferencias básicas: 1. El palillo de incienso contiene un alma de madera, con el incienso adjunto al palillo.Este es el tipo de incienso más popular y mejor conocido, pero cuando se quema este incienso, se quema también el palilllo de madera, el cual tiene un aroma no muy placentero.  2. El incienso Japonés es conocido por su quema super limpia, no tiene alma de madera aunque la forma de este incienso es la de un palillo. Estos no queman por tanto tiempo como los palillos tradicionales, pero queman de manera excepcionalmente limpia, y su aroma es extremadamente delicado.  3. El incienso Tibetano es de alrededor del mismo tamaño que el palillo de incienso, pero está elaborado sin alma de madera. El incienso tibetano está hecho para llenar un templo en su totalidad, y siempre sigue una receta tradicional, la cual  tiene un aroma a tierra.  El incienso puede ser tan poderoso de muchas maneras, simplemente por la atmósfera que automáticamente crea, en cualquier espacio donde se le queme. Es fundamental: fuego y aroma encienden los sentidos de manera que toca la esencia misma de quienes somos. Y pocas cosas son tan versátiles como el incienso; quemamos nuestros inciensos favoritos aqui en la tienda todos los días simplemente para disfrutar nuestros días un poquito más.
Adoramos “Super Hit” de Nag Champa, proveniente de la India, El aroma de árbol frutal – Aqua de Japón y y nuestro incienso Tibetano más vendido llamado Pancha Buddha; un producto de libre comercio hecho a mano para luchar y liberar Tibet. También, cuando tenemos que aclarar la energía aquí en la tiendo, siempre utilizamos Salvia de California (California Sage) el cual tiene un aroma intoxicante que nunca nos cansará.
