In centuries-old tradition of Ayurveda, the bark resin of Boswellia serrata, known in the West as Indian Frankincense, was long recognized for its use in the support of healthy joint function. Using extracts of the resin, researchers identified the active constituents as boswellic acids and demonstrated the benefits of the extract in placebo-controlled studies. This 5:1 extract contains 65% total boswellic & organic acids. We offer this unique traditional 5:1 extraction as an incense component only.
Analysis of the ingredients of these extracts revealed that boswellic acids possess biological activities and appear to be the main active constituents in Boswellia. No major Boswellia serrata side effects have been mentioned in medical journals. Store in a sealed container in a cool & dry area away from strong light.
