We get tired of saying this, but don’t be fooled by imitators who have stolen the recipe for this trademarked blend, developed by me out of a passion for dreams and Lucid Dreaming. Others only know what ingredients I have written here, which states that we have combined 5 powerful dreaming herbs with one sleep-inducing herb for this Burning Blend. But, the exact proportions, as well as the complete list of ingredients is kept strictly under wraps for that very reason.
The main ingredients are organically crafted Calea Zacatechichi (used by Mazatec shamans to induce vivid dreams), Private Reserve Motherwort to relax the mind, as well as Wild Lettuce (well-known dreaming aid), and lastly Mexican Tarragon, a ritual herb used by Aztecs and Huichol Indians. California Poppy is added to aid in ensuring restful sleep. Some Dreamer’s Blend made into a tea and also rolled into a cigarette at bedtime may help induce more vivid dreaming.
We have combined five herbs long associated with dreaming in this incense burning blend. The blend contains Calea zacatechichi (synonym, C. ternifolia), Motherwort, Wild Lettuce, Mexican Tarragon, and California Poppy. Find out about each herb at either DreamHerbs.com or Entheology.com.
This is the blend that I have personally used to help increase my frequency of lucid dreams. I was a big fan of Calea, but wanted to know what would happen if I made a blend of my favorite herbs for dreaming. The result, after over a year of tweaking, was the Dreamer’s Blend. And, in the decade this product has been available, it’s become one of the Top Sellers here at Shaman’s Garden.
The beauty of this smoking blend is that it can be made into a tea, rolled into a cigarette, or burned as incense. My favorite thing to do is to burn some incense on a charcoal block, similar to smudging, then roll a cigarette, and accompany that with some tea made out of Dreamer’s Blend.
I write about Dreamer’s Blend on my “ASK BODHI – Dreamer’s Blend” section of my blog as well. That’s how big of a fan of this product I am! I go through specific techniques for both dream recall and my favorite tricks for lucid dreaming enhancement.
I am an avid lucid dreamer, and believe deeply in the power of dreams, as do the Native American Indians, much of the African culture, as well as some parts of Mexico including Oaxaca; a spiritual center of Mexico, and where
Calea zacatechichi comes from. Feel free to post your own Lucid Dreaming experiences in the Experience Reports section at IAmShaman, or find one of the most useful Lucid Dreaming aids I have ever found at the
Lucidity Institute, manufacturers of the Nova Dreamer.
If you find success with the Dreamer’s Blend, please share your story with me at shamanelf at shamansgarden dot com. I think lucid dreaming is a gateway to so much more, and believe that the twilight state that exists between waking and dreaming is extremely similar to deeply meditative states, where so much revelation and increased self-awareness can happen.
