Aroma: Most people know this aroma through Earl Grey tea, which is flavored with Bergamot oil. It is a fruity citrus oil of spicy-floral freshness.
Aromatherapy properties: A light greenish-yellow liquid with a fresh sweet-fruity,slightly spicy-balsamic undertone. It blends well with lavender, orange blossom, jasmine, cypress, geranium, lemon, chamomile, juniper, coriander, and violet leaf. Smelling pure bergamot oil is one of the great joys of aromatherapy. Its scent is so fresh, and clear, and elevating.
Blends well with: Citrus Essential Oils blend well with a lot of different oils, “lifting” a blend to make it appear more energetic and lively. Neroli, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Geranium, Palmarosa and many others.
How to use it: Use a few drops in a diffuser to freshen the aroma climate of your home.
Sniff directly from the bottle to feel fresh and fight melancholy.
Citrus Essential Oils are among the few Essential Oils with a limited shelf life. Keep your citrus oils away from heat and direct sunlight and in tightly closed containers. Your fridge would be great. Try using them in 6 months after purchase. Older oils may not be appropriate for medicinal or skincare purposes, but can still add citrus-power to a diffuser blend.
History: When peeling a citrus fruit, you may experience the Essential Oil freely spraying from the peel when applying pressure. Squirting the Essential Oil into a candle flame is a nice winter activity that fascinates children (and those who remained young).
In the factory, before the juice of citrus fruits is processed, the peel of the fruits is carefully removed and the Essential Oil extracted from the glands contained in the outer layer of the peel. This is the process behind the term “cold pressed”.
This light, fruity citrus oil is uplifting, antiseptic, and relaxing. Relaxes and refreshes and is good for confidence building. Uplifts the spirit and emotions with its fresh and invigorating citrus fragrance. Useful for caring for oily and blemished skin. Lovely light citrus aroma. Use in vaporizer to eliminate unpleasant odors. It is familiar to many as the flavoring in Earl Grey Tea.
