Shankhapushpi

Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) is a morning glory-like perennial found on the plains of India. Historically, the plant was used in the traditional culture of Ayurveda to help support the natural capacity of the nervous system.*

Shankhapushpi literally means conch flower. In Hinduism, the conch or “shankha” is one of Lord Shiva’s sacred objects and is often used in ritual worship to represent the sound of “om” (aum). The whole herb is used in the form of decoction.
